Shelter dog walks have returned, every Saturday and Sunday evening at Stray Dogs Center in UAQ

After a challenging few weeks that kept us quieter than usual, we’re so happy to say our volunteer walks are finally back. The dogs have truly missed these moments… and if you’ve ever been to the shelter in the evening, you’ll understand why.

There’s something special about that time of day. The sun softens, the desert cools, and tails start wagging a little faster… because they know it’s time for the best part of their week: time with people

Right now, we really need our community. Here’s how you can be part of something meaningful:

Join our shelter volunteer walks

Every Saturday and Sunday

5:00 PM to 6:30 PM

At our shelter in UAQ

We’re so happy to share that our shelter dog walks are back every weekend.

For many of our rescues, these walks are the highlight of their week. It’s their chance to leave the pens, feel the sand under their paws, and enjoy calm, one-to-one time with kind humans. Some dogs bounce with excitement, others quietly lean in for affection, but all of them cherish it.

Whether you come once or make it part of your weekend routine, you will be giving a dog something they hold onto all week.

If you would like to bring something along, we would be grateful for:

• Collars, harnesses & leashes

Adopt or Foster From our UAQ Shelter

Our shelter in UAQ is fuller than ever, and we urgently need adopters and foster families to help make space for new rescues.

We need people to adopt or foster directly from the shelter. Our regular rehoming program continues in Dubai, but taking dogs straight from UAQ right now makes the biggest difference, as every placement frees up space immediately.

Apply today, and we’ll match you with a shelter dog who's ready to meet their new family.

Meet a few of our residents waiting for their chance:

Sponsor a Shelter Dog

Not everyone can adopt or foster, and that is okay. Sponsoring is a simple way to make a real difference.

For 200 AED per month, you can support a shelter dog’s food, care, and safety.

You will be assigned a dog and receive a certificate with their information. Most importantly, you will know that because of you, that dog is safe and cared for while they wait for their forever home.

Every walk, every foster, every sponsor... It all gives our dogs something to hold onto. Hope.

We would love to see you this weekend.
