In our shelter tucked away in the UAE desert, over 1,500 dogs wait, day after day. Some have been here for years. Many were abandoned, surrendered, or rescued from dangerous situations. We cannot even imagine what many have experienced. Some still flinch when a hand reaches for them. Some no longer hope.
Among them, 28 dogs have special needs. These dogs are disabled, broken, discarded by the very people who should have protected them. Many of their injuries were caused by cruelty, neglect, or deliberate harm.
The special needs dogs aren’t just dogs with missing legs or blindness.
They are survivors of human failure.

Featuring 6 of our special needs dogs
These dogs are not famous. They don’t go viral. Most people scroll past them. But they are real, deserving to be loved — and they are still waiting.

Moon – The blind albino, abandoned without a chance
Moon never even had a chance at a normal life. Albino and completely blind, he was dumped like trash and left to die. He lives in darkness, but he listens—hoping that maybe, one day, a voice will call him home.
He doesn’t bark. He doesn’t beg.
He just waits.
Moon currently has a kind monthly sponsor ❤️

Aja – hit by a car, crawling on her front legs only
Aja was struck by a car and left on the road. By the time we found her, she had no use of her back legs. She now moves on her two front legs, dragging her body with painful strength, because giving up was never an option for her.
All she wants is love.
⸻

Bella – hind leg amputated, heart still whole
Bella is only two years old, a young German Shepherd with eyes full of hope. After an accident took her hind leg, she was left behind like she didn’t matter. But Bella never lost her gentle spirit.
She walks on three legs now, gracefully and without complaint. What she misses most isn’t her leg—it’s a home.
She doesn’t want pity.
She just wants to belong.
Bella currently has a kind monthly sponsor ❤️

Mouse – A little survivor missing a leg
Mouse was also hit by a car. Her small body couldn’t take the impact—one leg had to be amputated. She’s a tri-paw now, limping through her days in the shelter, often unnoticed. But when you sit beside her, she presses into you with a silent question: “Will you love me?”
⸻

Mama Ava – Shot. Leg Severed. Still Loves.
Pregnant Mama Ava was found with a bullet wound. Her hind leg had been severed, likely by the same person who pulled the trigger. Yet when we reached her, she wagged her tail. She still does. Despite it all, she still believes in people.
We saved her life and her puppies too. She deserves to have a home now, don't you think?
⸻

Juliette – a tri-paw girl who's known too much pain
Another hit-and-run victim. Another life almost lost. Juliette lost her front leg, but not her gentle heart. She has never known a home, never had a soft bed, never felt safe. She just stares through the fence, day after day, waiting to have a real life.

Don’t let them be forgotten
28 dogs who already suffered more than any creature should.
Please—don’t let them die behind shelter walls, unseen and unloved.
Choose one.
Give them a name, a bed, a human to trust.
Be the miracle they’ve waited years for.
⸻
They deserve more than survival
All our special needs dogs are still worthy of love. Still able to bond. Still able to play, to snuggle, to trust. They don’t need perfect homes—just kind ones. Quiet ones. Ones that see past the missing limbs and broken bodies to the souls inside.
Even just sharing their stories can save a life.
⸻
Help us care for them
Caring for 1,500 dogs is overwhelming. Many of our special needs dogs need medicine, special food, wheelchairs, and vet visits. Some have kind sponsors. Many do not.
Even a small donation can make the difference between hunger and health.
